The ANGHILAU Association was born from the KASSUMAI Project and the profound bond the Rei Vilar family shares with Suzana. This connection dates back to the Guinea-Bissau War of Independence (1969–1970), when Captain Luís Filipe Rei Vilar established Suzana’s first school during his mission there. Although he fell in combat, his legacy in advancing education for the children of Suzana continues to inspire the Anghilau Association, which is committed to preserving his work and investing in the future. In this way, the Anghilau Association strengthens the bonds of friendship and solidarity with Guinea-Bissau, one of the poorest countries in the world, with a special focus on promoting education
